Dynamic Home Design and Home Remodeling:  Concord, MA Dynamic home design; suggestive of a tree house.
To enhance the composition of the home design, we added a dynamic two story space leading up to a tower that is filled with light. This glazed stair tower gives a previously low lying residence presence from the street and animates the street façade and entry sequence. The home remodeling of the existing structure included the transformation of the small kitchen, dining and living room into a large kitchen family room using components of the existing kitchen.

The addition and home remodeling were designed in the style of the existing structure. The new two story living room includes a study loft and a stair tower leading up to a reading loft. The placement of the tower and the selective use of glazing in this element animates the entry to, and circulation through the house by creating a destination. Upon approaching the house and first entering one gets a glimpse of activities inside and is intrigued to see more.
